Ministries

Missions

“Mission” is outreach to those who are not believers in Christ with the intent to be used by God to challenge and inspire them to place their faith in Christ for salvation. It is primarily done outside of the church in the community, across the nation, and around the world. This includes the supporting and becoming involved in the following local, national, and international missions:

Local Missions

  1. New Hope Crisis Pregnancy Center
    We financially support and minister at this Clayton facility that assists both men and women seeking guidance on behalf of their unborn children. It provides spiritual counseling, practical classes, needed provisions, and encouragement to birth the child.
  2. House of Hope
    We minister at this facility in Clayton that houses local troubled teen females and provides education, Christian counseling, and stable environment.
  3. Church in the Woods
    We minister at this Sunday morning ministry to the homeless in downtown Raleigh leading them in worship, offering biblical instruction, and providing them with physical sustenance.
  4. With Love From Jesus
    We support and minister at this Raleigh ministry that offers spiritual counseling, gospel proclamation, and physical provision of both food and various donated goods.
  5. Capitol Commission
    We support and minister in the North Carolina branch of this national ministry that focuses on the spiritual life of state legislators. Jim Young directs this work in Raleigh and leads various Bible studies, prayer gatherings, and special events encouraging churches to pray for the lives of those in positions to shape public policies.
  6. Breaking Bread Ministry
    We minister through hospitality to the international students attending North Carolina State University. The goal is to show the love of Christ to those away from their homeland in a tangible way in hopes to influencing them with the gospel message.
  7. Angel Tree Christmas Mission
    Annually, we minister to the families of those who are incarcerated in local counties by offering them Christmas gifts and a special dinner program.
  8. Elderly Care
    On a regular basis, we minister in a variety of ways to elderly residents of local convalescent homes to provide them biblical encouragement and God’s love.
National Missions
  1. U.S. Center For World Mission
    We support Bob & Ellen Stevens and their work leading the Southeastern part of the United States in offering the Perspectives Course training thousands of people in missions to reach unreached people groups.
  2. Samaritan’s Purse Relief Projects
    We participate in various national relief projects through Samaritan’s Purse, an international wholistic outreach ministry under the leadership of Franklin Graham.
International Missions
  1. Alec & Tammy Millen
    We support the Millens working with Missionary Ventures in Tanzania reaching tribal Muslims through community development and church planting.
  2. Santhosh Makal
    We support and work with Santhosh Makal and his leadership of a church planting movement in and around the Malda district in East India.
  3. Cross Vision Ministries, Andes Mountains, Venezuela
    We support and work with William & Maria Burton and the Venezuela Baptist Convention in a church planting movement in the Andes Mountains communities.
  4. Operation Christmas Child
    Annually, we participate with Samaritan Purse’s efforts to provide Christmas gifts packaged in shoeboxes with gospel presentations to impoverished children throughout the world.
