Senior Pastor, Ben Myers

Ben was born in Pennsylvania, but grew up in Tennessee. He graduated from Middle Tennessee State University and served as a Tennessee State Park Ranger. He and his family spent some time in Southern California while he studied his MDiv. at The Master’s Seminary.  During that time, he primarily served youth and children’s ministries.  Ben has been married to Jennifer for 19 years, and the Lord has blessed them with three beautiful daughters: Ceana, Ally, and Edyn. Ben has a deep commitment to God’s Word, and loves to see it impact the lives of God’s people. His favorite way to spend his free time is with his family, although he also enjoys many outdoor activities.


Marlene Markey

Office Manager & Assistant to Senior Pastor, Marlene M. Markley

Marlene came to Southside Church from San Jose, California in March of 2005. Prior to coming to Southside, she worked for Los Gatos Christian Church (now Venture Christian Church) for two years as office manager and executive assistant to the senior pastor. Prior to coming to Los Gatos Christian Church she served as lead customer software trainer for MainStreet, Networks for six years.  Marlene graduated (cum laude) from Meredith College, Raleigh, NC in 1992. She is married and has two grown children, 5 grandchildren and nine step grandchildren.


Katelyn Woodcock, Events & Media Director

Katelyn Woodcock is the Events & Media Director here at Southside Church. She is married to Randy Woodcock.  They have grown up at Southside as it has been their church home since they were in pre-school.  Currently at Southside, they enjoy spending time pouring into the lives of the youth in Three18 Ministries where they serve as youth leaders. You will often find Katelyn behind the camera both during work hours and off the clock, as she also owns a Wedding & Portrait photography business, Katelyn McKay Photography.

Jeremy Phillips, Worship Director

Jeremy Phillips is the Music Minister here at Southside Church. He and his wife Erin have a lifelong heart for ministry, and have partnered with several different churches and ministries all over the country during their marriage. Currently living in Garner, Jeremy has spent the last decade studying and leading worship music, and he earnestly values biblical principles of music in the church, that he works to apply weekly at each Southside service and event. Jeremy and Erin also run a non-profit christian community theatre company called Solace Theatre.
